General Notice The City of Oxford, (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: NORTH LAMAR (CR 101) SEWER PROJECT 246-2-SW-5.5 Sealed or electronic bids for the construction of the North Lamar (CR 101) Sewer Project 246-2-SW-5.5 will be received by the City of Oxford, in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, located at 107 Courthouse Square, Oxford, MS 38655, until Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work: The sewer extension project consists of the installation of 6,900 linear feet of 8” diameter pvc sewer line (open cut), 1,600 linear feet of 4” pvc force main (open cut), and a 250 gpm lift station.

All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Bid documents are nonrefundable and must be purchased through the website. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with the sealed bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. ARPA Provisions Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquires regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material, and/or supply needs. Any contract awarded under this invitation for bids is expected to be funded in whole or in part by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Federal award number 246-2-SW-5.5 awarded to the City of Oxford by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
